The Emily Evan Process
A clear path from ideas to installation.
A new kitchen is a significant investment in your home, and knowing what to expect makes all the difference. Our process is designed to keep everything clear and considered, with one point of contact guiding your project from the first conversation through to completion.
Five Stages
Step 01
A relaxed conversation about your ideas, your proposed timescale and your approximate budget. No measuring tape, no pressure, and an honest answer about whether we are the right fit.
Roughly 20 minutes, by phone
Step 02
An in-home visit to discuss your ideas, assess the space and explore how you would like it to work. This is where we ask how you cook, who stands where, and what irritates you about the room now.
Around 90 minutes, at your home
Step 03
Your initial design presented in detailed CAD visuals with a comprehensive quotation, alongside door, worktop and hardware samples viewed in the natural light of your home.

Step 04
We’ll work through the finer details together, making any adjustments needed to ensure the design, finishes and specification feel just right. Once everything is agreed, we’ll finalise your specification and prepare your project for the next stage.

Step 05
Every stage is professionally planned and managed on your behalf, from final site survey through to completion. Our own work is carefully scheduled alongside any specialist trades required, and the working area is left tidy at the end of each day.

Good to Know
There is no charge for your initial design and first round of amendments, providing we have an agreed brief and budget to work with. This allows us to create a considered design from the outset, based on what you would genuinely like to achieve.
Yes. We can take care of any building work or structural alterations required as part of your project. Where Building Regulations approval is needed, we can manage this process for you too.
We aim to present your initial design within 2–3 weeks. Installation typically takes around 4–6 weeks, depending on the scope of your project and whether flooring and final decoration are included. Projects involving structural alterations may take a little longer, and we’ll discuss the anticipated timescale with you before work begins.
Every project is different, and costs vary depending on the size of the space, cabinetry, finishes and level of service required. From smaller projects such as utility and boot rooms, or design and supply-only kitchens, through to complete renovations involving building work, we can accommodate a range of projects and budgets.
It’s helpful to share your intended budget with us during our discovery call, so we can advise on what’s realistically achievable and tailor our recommendations accordingly.
We accept all major personal credit and debit cards, excluding American Express, for initial deposits. Subsequent payments are normally made by bank transfer, in accordance with the agreed payment schedule.
Our installation service is available for products supplied by Emily Evan. We are, however, happy to incorporate suitable existing appliances or furniture that you would like to retain or repurpose as part of your new design.
Absolutely. We’re happy to provide a design and supply-only service if you already have your own fitter or trades in place. We’ll work with you to finalise the design and specification, then supply everything ready for your chosen installer.
We generally work within approximately 20 miles of Bicester, covering much of Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. If you’re a little further afield, please get in touch. We’re always happy to discuss your project.
